Every time I get annoyed by renaming the Washington airport after Reagan I am reminded that BWI is named after Marshall. You take the bad with the good. Sadly, our culture has forgotten this obvious lesson as a result of all the false bravado of contemporary conservative politics."Where you live in the world should not determine whether you live in the world." - Bono

Re: Lest we forget:
Was Thurgood Marshall saying, in effect, "You did not build that?""They have a lot of stupid people that vote in their primaries. They really do. I'm not really supposed to say that but it's an obvious fact. But when stupid people vote, you know who they nominate? Other stupid people." -- James Carville on the plethora of low-quality GQP candidates in the mid-term election.Comment

Re: Lest we forget:
Reagan is one of the great mysteries of our nation. People invoke his name to support what he didn't support.
I am of the firm opinion that the PR image of Reagan's presidency haunts us and prevents us from making wise decisions. If we want this country to move forward, it is, I think, necessary that we take an honest look at the Reagan presidency and the harm it did.
If one believe large deficits are a bad thing, one cannot at the same time think the Reagan years were good."Banning books in spite of the 1st amendment, but refusing to regulate guns in spite of "well regulated militia' being in the 2nd amendment makes no sense. Can't think of anyone ever shot by a book

You obviously haven't read Atlas Shrugged sir!
