Chet Atkins endowed 3 players with the title "certified guitar player", one was Jerry reed, one was john knowles who was my own teacher, and undoubtedly the most amazing and diverse performer is tommy Emmanuel. John is much prouder of the cgp title than his phd in astro physics!
