I know nothing about motorhomes, and I know nothing about electric cars, but I see a lot of large motorhomes towing cars.

Could you rig a system that would allow you to tow an electric car (Nissan Leaf, perhaps) and have the motorhome keep it charged?
If the towed car is there just to run around the campground, or visit tourist spots, electric would be the way to go. Pun intended.

Probably. The renault Twizzy is a popluar city car that can be charged from a standard wall outlet in 3 hours. I think it gets a 50 mile range on a charge.

a camper with an inverter , big battery bank, solar panel or large alternator on the main engine could easily handle it.
