Warm weather finally got here and I was commenting on it, a woman asked me "are you a sailor?"
I said, "right now I'm a sander"

Yesterday I was a rower. The wind kicked up and I wished I had thought to be a sailor.

Yeah, I think WB should add "maintain" to their list of design build, etc wooden boats

So far this season I am a wooden boat planking guy. Plank three (and maybe plank 4) going on today. Hopefully I will have the starboard side finished by the weekend.

Well... yesterday I was a dock walker. That's as close to sailing as I've gotten this year. I have been out on the Willamette and Columbia on one of the power boats a few times. Meantime, I have several personal boats to clean up, repair, complete, or restore.

People walk by me working on my boat..... and say "It must be a labour of love"

My answer: Some days it's just a goddamn labour.
