I'll second that recommendation. Iturra Design sells all sorts of good things to add to your bandsaw to make it run better...

Well I had a feeling something like this might happen. Why should you need to trick up your new saw? Shouldn't it come from the factory ready to slice veneer? For what those damd things cost plus the cost of that aftermarket jewelry you coulda bought a nice old solid monster that does what you want the first time, every time. Then, instead of being elated when the thing does what you want, you'd be taken aback on those exceedingly rare occasions when it didn't do what you want.

Oh well, into each life a little taiwan must fall, I spose.

138 pages of most every thing you ever wanted to know about bandsaws (including rounding up a good used one...) History of Delta, history of Jet. Interesting philosophical statement I've been thinking I ought to copy and post here.

My only regret is that I didn't get this book when I got my antique Delta bandsaw.

Oh, did I tell you that it's FREE!

Yep, I got one with my order a couple weeks ago. I got one of their new springs, made a tension gauge as described in FineWoodworking last year. Now I can saw with the proper tension and no guesswork  Rick
