If anyone is looking for serious, industrial sized tools to dress wood, I have a line on
some that may be in the market. Full disclosure: I know the guy who owns them, but have not seen the tools myself. We're talking about BIG machines --tools that will plane 24" stock, or dress a side and an edge in one pass, or S4S. The downside: Heavy stuff to move, and I imagine you would have to go get it yourself. (Location: New England.) Also, likely to be three-phase motors, which usually are found only in commercial shops. The upside: Suspect these tools will be very inexpensive.
I am not selling anything -- I have no commercial stake in this at all -- but these tools are too hefty for my shhop, and I figure that they might be a real prize for one of you guys young enough to sling around heavy timber. If you are interested, e-mail me and I will give you the fellow's name and address.

Don't know what kind of machine it is. All I was
told is that one of the tools available surfaces four sides -- S4S. For more info. you will have to go to the fellow who owns the tools.
