Yeah he's awesome. Always loved both his big cargo schooners and his junks. And he promoted a very common sense approach to building boats.

I still get Xmas cards from him. When his wife died a few years ago I wrote him and suggested he not feel obligated to continue what she had always taken care of but the cards keep on a'coming.
He's at least 20 years older than me but I'd guess he has a good chance of outlasting my sorry ass.
