At least the mizzen is not gaff. It would be interesting to see how much more performance you'd get out of putting that sailare into the main with nothing more than a longer boom versus how useful the mizzen is as a steering sail.

Yawls were favoured because the mainmast's position, further forward, allowed a bigger un-obstructed saloon. Claud Worth says, discussing gaff yawls, and I agree, that the weight of the mast so far forward is not good.

It will be said that Dorade and Stormy Weather are yawls; this is because the CCA Rule did not count the area of the mizzen staysail.
