I think that's the top of the Columbus monument in the foreground,, right down by the harbour..always a good selection of interesting craft down there, in amongst all the plastic stuff...also a good maritime museum nearby with an amazing 19thC wooden submarine, (a repro)...and a semi permanent traditional circus, no animals, with 1920s converted wooden railway carriages as traveller's wagons, and serving as a cafe bar, accomodation, ticket office etc. Want to see traditional coach roofs? there's the place.

I wonder if that black-and-white tricut is as trippy up close as it is from that distance.

Bar-theh-lona? ;-)

I would hate to be in that fleet, talk about dirty air with minimum breeze...

Dude, that's the Barcolana regatta in Trieste, named after the village of Barcola. Nothing at all to do with Barcelona, the city in Catalonia, some 700 miles away. The green angel is on the Faro della Vittoria, a lighthouse and WWI memorial. Still, it's a great picture.

Man, that sure is a weird looking boobyI was going to say it's just the angle of the photo, but it isn't. Maybe that's what you get when you try to design a triumphal statue of Victory after WWI.
