1929 tsunami Burin Peninsula Newfoundland. Washed houses into the sea. Some were recovered.

November 18th 1929. Triggered by an earthquake on the grand banks a tsunami hit the south coast of Newfoundland. 27 Dead, 50 outports damaged.
I am in the middle of reading the book Tsunami: The Newfoundland Tidal Wave Disaster, Maura Hanrahan. Riveting.
