I'm looking for a clamshell swivel double block with a becket, say 1/2"-3/4" line size.
Are these still made, or is this a salvage item?
I haven't found a photo of one yet, but I'm still looking.

Might try the marine consignment shops. One in Wickford RI (401 295-9709) and another in Mystic CT -- but not likely to be inexpensive wherever you find it.

This is the single shiv version of what I am looking for, i.e. a double shiv with a becket

I'm gonna look at the used market for a while....
You might try this guy to see if he is still in business:
Rostand RI. Inc.
P. O. Box 737
335 Long Entry Road
Chepachet, RI 02814
Phone: 401-949-4268, 800-635-0063
Email: carrollharrington@compuserve.com
He used to sell "rough castings" as well as finished products. The rough castings can save you quite a lot of money and they can generally be finished with hand tools. But it has been years since I last got anything from him so I don't know if he is still in business or what his current practices are.
His catalog of patterns is (or was) very extensive. I think he bought the patterns in the 1970s or 80s from one or more old marine hardware manufacturers that went out of business.
