Weird, that's hardly any snow at all.

Yeah it's like they're using six trucks to move the left shoulder's snow over to the right shoulder. :)

It's always nice when the snow's coming down softly enough that the plows can keep up with a pass only every hour or so and when the wind does not make ten foot drifts in thirty minutes.

We don't got no snow, we did have some pyrotechnics at a local Christmas(Happy Holidays) parade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDXaGq7hcNI#t=117

Impressed they have enough plows to do that. Out here it's just one lone guy running over a 40 mile (or more) territory.

Seems they're kicking a fair bit of slush out of the roadway. Slush (to me) is far more dangerous that packed snow.

I just thought the picture was amusing. There really is very little snow in the picture. I've never seen that many plows together on the streets, but once I saw twelve or maybe thirteen in a line like that clearing the runways at the airport. It takes about an inch short of the next ice age to close MSP.

We're having a nice lil' snowfall as we speak - maybe a few/4" of accumulation, but warm enough it's melting quickly. Treacherous driving - it's slushy/freezing. Always have a few fender benders with the first snowfall. But it is beautiful out right now. Wilderness Ridge, just south of us, is a golf course/ high end home section - water features/waterfalls at each entrance; countryclub; and several hundred evergreens that they decorate each winter. It's beautiful! (Might try to snap a picture).

Massachusetts often uses 3 trucks staggered like that to clear the interstate. PITA being stuck behind them (@ 20MPH) for 40 miles....

Drifting OT a bit: The worst thing is the new salt brine (instead of rock salt). May clear the road well & leach less into the surrounding land (though I'm not convinced), but it has hugely accelerated rusting on cars.
