Quite amazing.... I can't imagine how this guy would have been feeling, most likely having every reason to believe that no one would be coming for him and that it'd just be a matter of time.......

Real sailors know it's not over till it's over. Amazing story.

What an amazing job the dive team did. And I liked the 'Great Escape" theme too.

Wow. I wonder if he will ever go to sea again. Some of the Chilean miners from a couple of years ago never went back underground after they were freed; some did, they needed the money and had no other job skills.

Amazing. "Cook? They always survive".

Voices were cute too. Good to hear some non-hollywood action heroes.

3 days in the dark, cold, no water or food and no hope...when all of a sudden! The amazing bit was when they touched hands.

It was the hand touch that got to me..... Wouldn't know who got the biggest shock..... the cook or the diver.

The diver by the looks of it. Have a read of the interview in the linked news article, it sounds like the cook didn't have any idea of how long he was down there but that he did hear the diver so went looking for him.

I think he will be needing a new Dry Suit. But from the looks of the response he /she was a cool professional!!! I've used KIRBY MORGAN gear before, this might be maybe AQUA-DINE hard hat, but the full helmet made the rescue possible!
