Yes, there does. :( These folks had long and productive lives though and have provided great service and a quality of entertainment not parallelled today. smile.gif

My favorite memory of Bob Hope is him riding a "horse" on the Muppet Show singing "Don't Fence Me In".
Always a class act.

I met him in 1968(?) when he did a show in Lansing, Michigan. For someone as "big" as he was, he was very gracious to a trio of college kids who wanted to interview him.

I saw him in DaNang in '68, and had him for an autographing in Cleveland sometime in the '70's. People lined up to see him about 12 hours ahead of time, and old women with walkers, and old soldiers with canes brought him flowers, chocolates and putters. A class act. RIP.

He stayed, in '93 or '94, at the hotel I used to work at in Houston. I didn't get to meet him but he always left everyone he met with a smile. He was a little frail then but he still had a twinkle in his eye.

While sailing as 2nd Mate on the NZ built HMAV BOUNTY replica in Tahiti, Bob Hope and his production company came aboard for 2 days. He was filming one of his "Winter TV Specials" and did a skit on the BOUNTY mutiny. It was wonderful to see Bob Hope and Jonathan Winters shoot back and forth one liners. I had the good fortune of appearing as a Jack Tar in one of the scenes. Here is a photo of Bob Hope and myself receiving direction from the director.
