He hasn't driven an F1 car since his (rally) crash in early 2011, has he?

I also hope he does well

I'm sorry.... But my feeble American mind can't wrap it's self around F-1 racing, Western Red Cedar, and cooking lamb..... It must be a Brit thing......
Cedar and lamb I can see............ Although only Cedar of Lebanon, not WRC............ But F-1 racing?

As ever, two nations separated by a common language.

WRC

Wasn't there talk of the USA entering an F1 team a couple of years ago?

What happened? Was it a lack of money, talent or technology?

I do like F1 as well, but WRC is just the best motorsport in the world these days. Too bad it's so hard to see here in the United Snakes. It effectively disappeared after Fox bought (read -- ruined) the old Speedvision. I guess they thought it was too much of a distraction from to their non-stop shilling of the taxi cab parades.

Are there still any taxis being made with pushrod engines?

Kubica was a fast rising star in F1 and a national hero in Poland.

He drove with a zest few drivers ever display. When Raikkonen left F1, I was relying on Kubica to keep things interesting. If he hadn't been so badly injured we'd be seeing him on the F1 podium right now.

I doubt he'll ever make it back.

So...in this case, "F1" is not "Formula One" which is also called "F1"...I'll never be able to understand you foreigners because you talk so so funny.

and by the way, that's NOT WRC...that's a car going too fast over a bump. WRC is a kind of tree.. And a "stock car" is a kind of railroad car that carries cows. Somebody need to teach you English! :D

Kubica drove in the 'real' Formula 1 (F1) and hopes to return.

I understand that in the interest of better competition, NASCAR is now considering outlawing overhead valves, hydraulic brakes, and independent front suspension..... and maybe pneumatic tires as well.....
