Just playing around:

Now what I gotta do is figure out how to get you to the full size version... assuming you might be interested.
I give up. This'll get you to the a lbum (http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286105403&code=10981756&mode=invite&cmp=EMC-IS_other&creative=album-invite) which will grow as I get time but it doesn't allow viewing "from outside ImageStation" what ever the heck that means. :(

"Holy pixels, Batman!"
The original is 2489240 bytes and 7162 x 985 pixels big. It is possible to save the original to your local 'puter. If you have a mega-bit lickety split fast connection. Would look nice printed 19" long on my Epson printer.
Thanks, Norm. How was the sailing in Maine?
Wayne
Working way too many hours and sailing way too few hours in the Swamp. :D

Impressive. I had my camera there but didn't remember to take it out... I was too busy looking.
Direct Link to the big panarama (http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid131/pfc9569337476fedc116ea23fae53bc6c/f7af9d22.jpg.orig.jpg)
OK. If the image is too big (or people want) I can remove it so the thread can still be read.
Ok. big picture removed. Lovely picture though...

Yeah, Dave, Ma Bell Southcentral flavor claims it's a T-1 line. But maybe all the other folks on here at work eat up bandwith. I viewed and downloaded the full size file no problem. But posted here was a problem.

I'm pleased to hear some liked the picture. It is of interest to me mostly in how easy it is to make. I have an old version of Panorama Factory (http://www.panoramafactory.com/) which does what I posted automatically.
Normaly one should rotate the camera around the center of focus which is usually located somewhere within the lens assembly in order to get a good match from exposure to exposure. In this case I simply held the camera to my eye and rotated more or less in one set of foot prints. Pretty sloppy. The panorama is not perfectly stitched but a bit better than so so. With the camera on a tripod it makes almost perfect panoramas automatically. And if one shoots a series in a compete circle it will make a panorama that once can scroll around 360 degrees. Fun. Or as Miron Sutton used to say, "Amaturish to be sure but it shows what can be done."
