If only we could figure out the reefer portion of the equation, I would happily accept, COD!

I dunno..... Sending reefer in the mail might not be so smart..... ;)

Happy birthday , I was going to post a video of the Beatles birthday song, but I am sure you have a favourite rendition that is suitably obscure. I give you permission to post that on your own thread.

That did sound a tad ambiguous, didn't it? For the record (and the NSA), the reeference was to reefrigeration, not doobage. While I have some passing familiarity with the loco weed, and may even have smoked some in the distant past, I have no doubt that Lefty is above such things, smoking only his ribs.

HBD, Flying Orca - tho I'll wish you 'just the right amount' of beer!

Thank you all - and John, I keep agitating, but so far I'm not getting anywhere. Most of Oystagirl's travel budget is devoted to gigs these days, most particularly gigs by acts fast approaching retirement. It would be great if her folks wintered there again, that would probably do it...

Oh, you know it! Seriously, I have been working on getting her back down there. I want to see more of the desert!

I want to see more of the desert!

Oh, yes! As a boy born & raised in the woods of New England, I was rather surprised to find how much I loved the desert. Actually loved. Beautiful place (& my joints felt soooo good! ;-))

Happy Birthday, O Airborne Cetecea!

I think "Aero-Grampus" sounds better..... Plus it would be a great name for a regional airline! :D

I think this is where the kids would say, "I know, right?"

(Also our 50ish chief accountant, which gives me the giggles...)

It has a nice ring to it, dunnit?

I didn't immediately recognize the aircraft so I spent a few minutes tracking it down. I've spent some time in DC-3s, but the C-46 was new to me. Apparently three are flying in the western arctic, but I don't think I ever ran across them.

Seemed far too coincidental (http://www.gocomics.com/nonsequitur/2013/10/01)..
