A boats name should be integral, not added on (crookedly).

Boston Terriers are lousy swimmers.

So are French bulldogs.

The boats name is a bit clichéd.

The hanging knees look clunky, the mast is missing, and those look to be uncomfortable bunks.

The tractor could have been blue.

I wasn't going to say anything, but...

Ham-handed, to be kind.

I see no hanging knees.
Nor is there anything wrong with those standing knees.

Sheesh, flaming amateurs. :D

It's the lodging knees that puzzle me...

It's the lodging knees that puzzle me...

They are not too difficult if you remember that one left handed lodging knee joined toe to toe to one right handed lodging knee = one staple knee. ;)

That tractor IS the right color. I grew up learning to drive on a tractor just like that. Nostalgia rules! Nice looking boat, too.

I've sailed a Gartside Skylark, a very nice boat, I felt I was emulating Swallows and Amazons. Or more correctly Amazon since Swallow did not have a centreboard. I am not sure if it's the same boat, it's at our host's place.

But where are they?

Redundant, spare, supererogatory, superfluous, supernumerary, surplus, unnecessary , unneeded, replaced by those sawn clamps.

Thanks be to the Gods! It does, however, have the other aid to arthritis sufferers - sails! ;-)

Ok, technically, 'a sail' - but how many does one need in a sweet lil boat? ;-)

I think the thwart knees are about generally stiffening up the boat, and particularly useful if she's turned over on the beach, lot of strain in the top couple of strakes. Also consider the forces if she's brought alongside a bit hard. Nasty to see a thwart poking through the topsides.

and the tractor should be a David Brown, he was a lot better at tractors than cars, and he wasn't bad at them.
