Couldn't find any straw so I used grapes instead. Not the outcome I was hoping for.

The starlings are only 12 feet away. Isn't there a slightly smaller model?

I dunno, but remember to load it with bird shot not grape shot and you'll be fine.

By saying the Bilge is boring, you are saying it affects you that way. If you are bored by it... you are bored. ipso facto.

I do disagree, though. I don't find it boring at all. There are several troll-masters who keep it interesting (we won't mention any names, shall we?). There are some great folks trying to have serious discussions on topics various. It's true that I sometimes find myself getting irritated by bits of it. The n'er-do-wells who insist on posting boat-related discussiion and fotos in the one non-boat section (which should, of course, be sacrosanct... and above such mundane matters). :rolleyes:

I can't believe you've only got 9-10 species. I kept a list, haven't updated it for years, but it was at about 73 species last time I looked.

Main ones these days are Powerful Owl, Rainbow Lorikeet, Noisy Miner, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, King Parrot, Kookaburra, Wonga Pigeon, Grey Butcher Bird. Heard the Eastern Whipbirds yesterday.
