I'm looking at a 1983 schooner 42'0" "SHAMROCK", in need of restoration. It was reportly designed by a Rosborough in Nova Scotia. If anyone has any references, info, or contact information on Rosborough, it would be greatly appreciate. Also, andy more information on this particular boat or design. Handling, rigging setup, existing boats, plans, etc?

Thanks, in advance!

Keith

Keith; That would probably have been James Douglas Rosborough of Halifax. He designed and had built a number of crusing sail boats. He has a recent book,"Confessions of a Boatbuilder" By Nimbus Publishing Ltd.,PO Box 9310,station A,Halifax, NS,B3K 5N5.
The company went out of business in the late '80's when the demand for custom built wooden yachts dried up and labour/production costs were rising. He would do up the design and contract the building out to one of a number of local yards he used.
Good luck.Earl

Looks like a pirate ship, sails like a slug.

Down here they tend to rot faster than the worms can eat.
