Well, I have a whole bunch of pictures I took today at the first day of the festival. I want to post them, but I have been waiting for my ImageStation activation code for about an hour now. Since I took today off to go to the festival, I had better go in tomorrow, and I had better get to bed. Ill post them tomorrow.

Goin' great, Shane. Gavin finished planing the bevel on the inner strenpost for the Elf this morning. Hopefully we'll get the stem and sternpost mounted to the building jig tomorrow, maybe even the keelson, then we're ready for fairing and planking. We're watching the US Open Tennis wimmen's final match right now. Glad to have you back! :D

WOW! Tim, that was a series worth waiting for. And, thanks to ImageStation for forcing you to use Shutterfly. The slide show feature is a good one. Thank you very much.
Were you fixated on big boats or is that typical of those on display? I'd hate to pull all the way out there and find a dirth of boats I can relate to. If we don't get some rain one of the years to bring the tide back in there won't be enough water in any of the lakes in Nebraska to float most of the beauties you photographed.
Well big is a relative term, but maybe I am more attracted to the bigger ones now that you mention it smile.gif Hadnt really thought about it. Must be because this time of year I just want to hop on a boat and sail to Australia hehe.
There were a lot of small boats too, I just neglected to take pictures of them it seems. The whole show was a bit smaller than usual. Of course that could have just been because it was Friday and the first day. Probably a lot of people dont show till Sat. and Sun.
Still a great time though! definately well worth going, and Im not just saying that because I live about a mile from the ferry to Port Townsend :D
Dingo,
In response to your question that ship is the Lady Washington.
http://ladywashington.linsect.com/
and the schooner in that first picture is Pacific Grace, a brand spanking new fishing schooner from up in BC.

LOL. check out picture number 68. the guy sitting in the cockpit is Niel Young. small world eh?
