    ....have his carry permit revoked?

I can see that Zimmerman should have his pistola returned to him; it's his property.
But can he retain his Concealed Carry Permit?
        I hope Not!

Why not? He's not been convicted of a crime.

He certainly won't be getting back on that Community Watch program. No community watch will touch him with a 10' pole. He broke all the rules and caused a needless death. As for his gun, as crazy as it sounds, he'll probably get it back. I don't know the guidelines for a concealed carry permit, but I hope the state finds some reason to deny it to him.

Everything I read says he was the Neighborhood Watch program.

That said, I can't find it anymore. And I doubt he continues to live there.

Regardless of how people feel about it, he's not convicted of anything, and likely wont lose his permit. And he may need it for REAL self defense. Never know what will happen in the near future....
Then again, he may not want to carry the gun that almost got him in the clink for a long time after killing with it.

I suspect that he keeps both the permit and the firearm. That particular firearm and holster he'll probably soon put in a gun safe or safety deposit box or his lawyer's office safe, getting something else (a different firearm and holster) to carry. With the public death threats he's gotten in the last 18 hours, even in old-time "may issue" Minnesota he could have gotten an emergency CCW permit, no waiting period.

I see no reason why he should be denied a concealed carry permit. As pila said, he was not convicted of anything.

The guy felt the need to carry a concealed firearm for a simple trip to Target. And that was BEFORE he was notorious. My guess is he'll now be armed everywhere he goes for the rest of his life.

Sounds like an argument for mandatory psych testing. Can any reasonable person honestly say this person should own a gun? Are we safer with him armed?
