Tried to embed this but it wouldn't work, so here's a link: one of the short comedies that made Canada's National Film Board great - the one and only Buster Keaton in The Railrodder (http://www.nfb.ca/film/railrodder). I have loved this film for a long time.

Gee Paul, with very little extra work, you could move those controls up front, to the comfy chair.

Is this the solution to the muddy driveway? Capitalising on Katherine's rail experience?

Human ingenuity is great, isn't it?

Looks like fun to me! I used to have a out-rigger equipped 10 speed push bike that I would ride on the abandoned Adirondack Branch of the New York Central. Lots of (semi-legal) fun. I also rode it once up the old Maine Central line through Crawford Notch in NH, that was a blast!

Why do you need the handlebars?

It wont float.
Or am I missing something?
Seems limited.;)
