OK Dads, how did you spend your Fathers Day?
Harvesting lettuce and sending 20 heads to CT with SWMBO, to distribute to her family.
Weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
Weeding, cultivating, watering.
Deadheading the Rose and Daylilys.
Digging up Daffodil, Bluebell and Star of Bethlehem bulbs, to spread out the clumps.
Moving 3" thick slabs of Desert Rose flagstone to one of the new beds, for a pathway.
Pruning Azaelias, Rhododendrons and Berberis.
10-11 hours out in the sun on the prettiest day, so far, of the year. :D
Good trade! SWMBO came back from CT with 16oz of London Broil, marinated in Peter Luger sauce. I'll trade lettuce for good beef, any time!

Scraping the bottom of Redwing with my daughter. Bought a pressure washer. It works great on the teak grate. Saves alot of time. A cook out and finally some wine outside at sunset. Couldn't ask for more.

Breakfast at 0500, in the water by 0600, first fish by 0615. Xan and I took out the Cape Dory 14( I know, I know it's made out of that other stuff. But really it has wooden thwarts and gunnels)
Not too many fish for the day. Lots of birds:Osprey, Red Tail Hawk, Mergansers, Cormorant, Kingfisher, Great Blue Heron. It was a sunny, cool, relaxed day. Out of the water by 0915, stopped for a cuppa.
It's quiet now, sitting by the computer with a glass of George Dickel.
Prepared a materials list for a Dragon boat design this morning (I know, working on Sunday ... ), went to an antique and street rod show this afternoon, and brought the newest member of the family (below) home this evening. All in all, a very nice day. smile.gif

What a cutie!
I was spoiled in the morning, breakfast in bed, lounging around reading the latest WB mag, etc. then worked around the house all day, mostly gardening, took down some tree limbs, put a new window in the garage. But Saturday I did this:

Shane. that steam-box is filled with lobsters, steamer clams, potatoes and corn on the cob. Man were they good! :D There were so many lobsters everyone had as many as they wanted and there were still about 20 left over. Also, just out of sight, on the table with the checkered tablecloth was the chowder. Yum. :D
The steamer was pretty cool. 150,000 btu's. Had that whole thing steaming in about 5 minutes. :D I wonder if they'd let us borrow that thing sometime. :D
