Just a quick hello....I am at an internet cafe at the moment doing my income tax return. Life has been very busy post launching with our jobs taking up most of our time...seems strange being back in amongst the 'rat race' (can't say I like it much). As we don't yet have our own laptop nor ready access to the internet it may yet be a short time before I can post some photos...I do apologise as I have been taking some good 'at anchor' photos!! However I havn't forgotten my friends on the forum. We are moored out in Trinity Inlet without shore power...funny how I havn't missed my almost daily fix of the forum nor the television!!! Bye for now. Bernadette.

darn Bernadette.....You really need a "fix"....how far are you from the shore or accessible electric outlet or potential phone line?
A cheap cordless 900 mhz phone can be used as a wireless interface to shore to connect to a phone line....or a wireless connection to the nearest shore port and actually send the data down the a.c. wiring to be picked off at another location for interfacing to the phone line or..........

but I also like the peace and quiet on the hook.....

Hmmm. Let's see here ....

I could come down there, rig up a generator on a small boat, tie up next to you and supply power. Yeah. That's it. No charge - just room-and-board (aboard). Yeah! Thats it!

It's good to hear from you. Can't wait for the pics!

Back in the thirties there was a schooner that had her own mooring set out in front of her owner's house next door. The mooring float was equipped with fresh water and telephone line connections :D
