The UK has had access to the PRISM data since at least 2010

Details of data collection were outlined in classified 41-slide PowerPoint presentation that was leaked by intelligence officer
PRISM was exposed one day after it was revealed that NSA has been collecting telephone records of Verizon customers
It is largest anti-terror intelligence-gathering operation since 9/11

Absolutely against it, unless of course these companies are participating voluntarily. If they are voluntarily participating, they better have written a damn good privacy policy agreement for their customers.

Another thing is, there was a very very very large facility being built over the last few years in Utah for the NSA. It is said to be capable of holding everyone's email in storage, for query by search later. Obviously the NSA can't have eye balls on every correspondance, but they can save it and pull it up for use against you later. People then dubbed conspiracy theorists for thinking the government would use this facility in this war ought to be vindicated now. Always be suspicious of your government. Never trust it.
