    Have you seen it?

Great movie. Not quite as old as me and Phillip, though.

Great movie. Somewhat disturbing, but still great. I definitely didn't give Jennifer Lawrence much credit for versatility until I saw this movie.

Yes, great film. I was reminded of it yesterday evening, watching "Beasts of the Southern Wild".

I looked at the trailer... too damn much gut wrenching DRAMA of the violent kind...

I go to the movies to be pleasantly entertained, not to get upset

I thought that it was a great movie. I remember that we had some lively banter about it earlier.

mental violence is far worse... when the flags go up, I lose interest in watching

I like things like 'Out of Africa' but I like other stuff as well, I liked 'Avatar' but the violence there didn't bother me... no idea why it works that way

The best part of it was probably the family interactions and values. It should be right up your alley, Phillip. Seriously.

So the scene where she cuts off her dead father's hand with the chainsaw didn't register with you as violent?

                            What would you call it?
