Do I really need the tilt and trim option for whatever 25-40HP Outboard I end up putting in the well of an 18" Simmons Sea Skiff?

It sure is a nice option, but you can certainly live without. Especially in that size range.

Once you have PTT you will never go back. It may save your prop in those shallow area's. When you say Oh #$&^ trim the motor QUICK.

Power trim is absolutely a great option. Especially for a boat where the operator is not right next to the engine. The Simmons fits that category. You will never sorry for the extra few bucks spent on it.

Three years ago I put a new 25 hp four stroke Yamaha on my Simmons 18. Sure do wish I had gone for the power trim and tilt.

Hey Rowe Boats,
Do you feel you have enough power with the Yammy 25? Long or short shaft? What changes, if any did you make to the motorwell? Got any pictures?
