A 'danger board' is the same as a 'dagger board', but without the trunk.

Must have a slot down the middle too, because there is a frame across the dangerboard slot. A worthy craft, someone needs to save this thing. :d

It has an extremely sturdy transom. You could hang some serious power off that puppy, and not bother with the danger board and sail.

a thought - perhaps the danger board is actually a low budget depth sounder, not a hydrodynamic aid to sailing? When you hear it hit the bottom, you're in danger.
