My anger is towards using them while drunk/raving stupid.
Unfortunately inconsiderate moron + dangerous substance/object often equals innocent bystander harmed.
And when the criminal insane with anger problems and extreme religious views gets their hands on something deadly things get real ugly.
And people cry to their government to stop it.
And the government tries to stop it by taking away the means of harm or some sort of strict regulation.
But adults and the general public aren't parents and "toy jail".
Some do it safely and want to continue and are punished by the law, others find their way around it and continue to cause harm.
And the government fights harder.
And is correctly seen as taking away too much freedom for not enough reward.
What I was taught and given by the age of 10.
Be careful what you wish for it may or may not come true.
Be careful and pay hard attention and read and follow instructions whether or not it sounds dangerous. You are being careful and know better, treat everyone around you like they are complete peabrains because many of them are.
Don't blow up or shoot or poison anyone including yourself, don't get anyone pregnant or infected, Here is a health science book and here is where to get condoms. Ride in the street far enough out to be easily seen and realize the cars will not all stop or yield, go into the woods for more than 5 hours without a phone or radio. Here is a bicycle, a helmet (it doesn't make you invincible just stops some head injuries, still wear it), a pair of semi broadnose tweezers for the ticks, off spray, a bigger water bottle and a knife. Don't sprint from from carnivores you will look like prey, don't confront animals directly, don't be silent or look small cause you will look like a carnivore/prey item. Don't do drugs you don't actually want to do it and it makes you look uncool and irresponsible.
Here is the "rocket bible" edition 6 by G Harry Stein and a bunch of C6 motors and a launch controller and keys, don't point it at a person or house or airplane and here is the NAR safety code, here are some Quest aerospace psudeo two grain trombone motors that aren't any smaller than the Estes C motors, tell the FAA in writing a month in advance before launch or work with people who do. You like her not in spite of but because she is a bossy tomboy and have been ranting on and on about benevolent dictatorship and the uncorrupted powerful being the most moral of all, and just what are you to trying to remake playfighting and the low course project adventure trustbuilding exercises into. Hey the "alarm words" concept from the NAR launch ranges can apply elsewhere.
Like microbiology here is a pre y2k Edmund Scientific microscope and a bunch of samples and a slide prep kit and an X-Acto mini handle and some number 5 and number 11 blades and a notebook.
You like taking pictures here is a real camera and your grandmother's advice she had a darkroom. The lens is more important than the body and the photographer is more important than both. Those are Vivitar and Tokina "two touch" and older K and M series Supermulticoated Asahai lenses and if you break them I won't pay to replace them. Yeah film prices are sky high I would get you a digital if a 1 megapixel camera didn't cost more than your than your entire outfit film outfit combined.
And a grand time was had.
And something bad did happen once. I was doing archery and firing at a tree when I was 8.
Someone was in the tree. I walked to the tree and told individual to get down and out of the firing line (I was the only one firing and there was only one bow and I was holding it). I waited and watched same get down and leave the tree and get out of the way and agree to stay away for IIRC an hour. Just minutes later I called out repeated warnings and asked if anyone was in the tree prior to firing. No reply, waited a minute to make sure. Fired. See individual climbing out from behind the tree as arrow is en route. Mother walks outside and sees her kid get hit.
I was so afraid my best wasn't good enough I didn't fire a single arrow again until I was 16.
