I just read the thread on the "Nebraska Aged Gaffers' Society" and applaud Norm's enthusiasm for Midwestern fresh water sailing. After many years as a blue-water (salt) sailor, I found myself living in Wisconsin next to Lake Michigan, which affords some mighty fine sailing without salt water sores and rashes. The only drawback is that the water tastes funny.
Inland fresh water sailing warrants further promotion, following Nebraska's lead. If there's any interest, we could start a "Wisconsin Aged Gaffers' Society", or "WAGS". It's a natural.

If the NAGS and WAGS were to meet up somewhere in Wisconson next summer where would you suggest?

And since your gaffer's group is now by definition National, you need a new name. Perhaps

Federation of
Old
Gaffers'
Interest and
Excursion
Societies
