Hi all,
im new here. i just got this chris craft for free. pretty sorry shape. she sat on block for who knows how long and the bow is sagging forward of the bow block. a previous owner did a polyester fiberglass job from waterline down that was terribly delaminated. that loose shell came off today and i found the keel to be in sorry shape. any advice to straighten this boat out. tomorrow i'll start ripping off the top sides to get a better look at the stringers and will also remove the keel as i plan to make a new one. I'll throw some pics up here tomorrow. Thanks, Barry

We'd all like to see those pics. Sounds like a sorry sight.

Im looking for some advice on how to straigten this thing out. i was thinking about hanging the bow by the tow loop and see if that gets it straight. then i'd install the new keel and new stringers. dont know if i should do it before or after i flip her over. any advise?

Anyone have any experience with this? I have a good plan in my head about what to do but want to know if I'm overlooking anything

Hanging by the bow eye and from the transom may be a good idea, as the engine is out. take it slow and more and better pics. has she been outside like that, getting water in there and then freezing? fuel tank in the bow?
