I am searching for any information I can find on a fine old vessel I ran in Hyannis, MA during the early 1980's. She was a 48' sportfisherman built in 1940 by Stanley VanSant in Atlantic City, NJ. When she left this area she was headed for the Connecticut River area. I lived aboard her and worked year-round maintaining her, so when she sold she was in excellent condition. Obviously, if she didn't continue to receive constant care, she's probably history by now. She had a flying bridge, long trunk cabin with several sidelights on each side, lots of brightwork, was painted maroon with bristol beige topsides and mast buff decks. The cockpit deck was teak. She was powered by two 671 Detroit diesels. Her name was Red Jacket. If anyone knows anything about her, I would deeply appreciate it if you would contact me. Thanks!
