Hurricane Gustav is just south of Nova Scotia right now, and expected to come on land just north of Halifax in about two hours. It has been raining heavily for about four hours now, and we are expecting up to 80 mm (3 inches) of rain overnight. PEI & Cape Breton are being warned of a 1.0m - 1.5m (3 - 5 feet) storm surge along the coast and winds in the vicinity of 140 -150 kph (85 - 95 mph). Winds at my house are about 60 - 70 kph right now. Not a very pleasant night.
