I'm trying to plan a trip to the Florida panhandle to sail in my 21 ft sharpie. Appalachicola bay and St. George sound look good, but are there places where I would be allowed to camp on islands in the area? Any feedback on that general location would be greatly appreciated!

Lived in that area for 3 years--pull up Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce website for information. Plenty of places to camp....Have a good time--beautiful area--St. George Island, Port St. Joe, Dog Island, St. Vincent's Island, St. Mark's all great for shoal draft craft....

Not exactly an island, but a great protected bay and beaches...
St. Joseph Penninsula (http://www.floridastateparks.org/stjoseph/default.asp)
...and an island,
St. George Island (http://www.floridastateparks.org/stgeorgeisland/default.asp)

Don't tell anyone else, ok? :D Ariel & I might get trouble for spreading the word! ;)
