Purdy's Boat Yard

Reading about Purdy's in Vol 177 gave me a real boost. I used to haunt their yard back in the early 50's when my folks lived in Port Washington. Is there still a Purdy Boat yard? And what of Marshalls?

All gone, all gone - not even much marine industry left in Port Washington these days...Sorry to say yer dating yersefl a bit with Purdy's, but very little left period-there is a good rigger, a sailloft, a couple of marinas-not boatyards, and a boatyard run by MBYC, a yacht broker and that's about it - oh Louie's is of course, still there...
