I am looking to contact any restoration projects of schooners anywhere in the world that take on volunteer interns. The interns don't necessarily have an boatbuilding skills, but want to volunteer to learn and work along side master builders while having an opportunity to be immersed in the boatbuilding, historical maritime culture. I would be most grateful to hear about any possible project anyone might know of.

I don't know where you live so this may not be of value to you.

The schooner Adventure located in Gloucester Mass USA is in need of any and all warm bodies that are available on a volunteer basis

Jake, the schooner Ernestina (sp?) operates out of New Bedford, MA under the auspices of Mass DEM (Department of Environmental Management, AKA Don't Expect Much). They have a website, but I don't have it bookmarked on this computer, but it should be easy to find. If you can't just post here and I'll post it later. Here you go:

May not be exactly what you want, but you can always drop by Woodville, MA and slave on Phoenix, LOL! Good luck.
