on Prairie Islander? I've been gone so much lately that I don't know how the project is going. By my left handed calculations, you should have lauched last summer, but being right handed I never was good at counting on my left hand! Do you have pictures?

The boat is not finished completely, there is still work to do on the inside. She needs a galley, porta potty and mattresses but she seems to be a fine sailing vessel as best I can tell, not knowing how to sail yet. We have a couple of adventures planned for this summer and hope to get out enough locally to get comfrotable with the boat and each other to manage Lake of the Woods, and maybe the San Juan Islands.

Hey Norm!!

That Wyoming trip looked like a real great time!... although ones gots to wonder what a great old... ooops OLD fart is doing with such a pair of wild and woolly looking country boys!!!

And theres a photo in there that really there should be a warning that its coming so one can get their sun glasses on! The reflection of the old chrome dome is flamin painfull! tongue.gif

Great looking country! Looks much like some places over here, only the way everyones rugged up its got to be cold!... and the Prairie Islander? ohhh you know I just love the look of her!! :cool: Youve done a great job and are justly proud of yourself well done old fella!! :D

Okay whew!!! gone all through that album and Ive come to a couple of conclusions...
1) Prairie Islander is beautiful
2) You are a justly proud OLD fart
3) Grandma is one hell of a tough woman!
4) You have some real hairy friends/relatives
5) You need to wear a hat everytime someone goes near you with a camera even if you cant see them put the hat on!!
6) A great time was had by all in Wyoming
7) Wyoming looks like many parts of Aussie
8) Grandma is as proud of Prairie Islander as the blad one is
9) You did what all good men would do when faced with a woman down in camp and boats, water and time on his hands... you went sailing and rowing!!
10) I cant abide the sight of blood... needles scare the gronicles of me... and the loss of a toe nail must be painful... Grandma I takes me hat of to you!! :cool:

Huh, wha....

Oh, the hairy faced ones. Sons, both. We haven't seen the older ones face since he was in high school. Dang good botanist though and not as scary as he looks. A pretty good picker too, I guess but all banjo music sounds the same to me and he still does a little blue grass bassoon. The other one yaall know but not allaya have caught on to his good side.

The toe, you ask? Well, neither of us much wanted to talk about it in public, I for not finishing and installing the cover on the front of the engine and she for sticking her toe in the alternator pulley. Popped the belt right off she did. I can't figure it out but there was not even a mark on her shoe. Grandma sat in camp for a couple days swisshing flys with a switch and saying I'm okay, I'm okay. It just happened that the Pine Dale Clinic was right next to a museum we wanted to visit on Saturday so we gave her no choice. Well, we're right here you may as well have them look at it, etc. She says the toughest part of the whole deal was having to sit and watch the daughters-in-law do things their way, like wash dishes just befor a meal rather than right after, little stuff like that.

The toe nail is nearly back to normal. I guess I should take a shot of it to complete the story.

The snake was a perfectly harmless Common Kingsnake. But enough about us. What is the orneriest "joke" you ever pulled on your wife and still stayed married for 40+ years?

She's a precious thing indeed and it gets better every year.
