Happy birthday Scooter.

dont ever let dad fob you off with a Candy Stick and a beanie baby on the 25th:d

Use guilt if you have to and blackmail as a last resort.

Scooter says "Muchas Graciais!" to all her WBF friends.
She is learning Spanish in first grade and that is exactly what she told me to say.
She's with mom till Christmas afternoon but we talked about five times on the phone today.
I'm suppozed to get her Christmas eve and give her back around noon on Chrissy day but I worked out a better deal.
Ya see, I got her a telescope for Christmas. We'll get to use it Christmas night.
Cool huh?!

Also ... I may miss out in the whole morning stuff but the magic still works cuz Santa comes to my house too.
Another stockibg full, more presents, big dinner and I get to snuggle up to the happy kid at the end of the day.
Can't beat that.

Did that make sense enough?
Tough to compose on the phone.
I get her at noon on Christmas day.

Scooter is a lucky kid.
Almost as lucky as me ... but not quite ... by a long shot.

So what happened with the oak bench that got stained?

Happy B-day to Scooter!

He seems to be dodging the question......

I haven't been back out in the shop yet.
Busy looking for work and trying to make the place look 'Christmassy' for Scooter.

I'll bring it in the house today and piddle with it some.

So..... You didn't do what you should have right then, when you asked the question, and now you think that anything that was told to you then will work now?...

I'd say that at this point, you have a bar oil stained piece of Oak......

The way I read the early part of Boats posts the bar oil had been on the bench while he was away in Kansas. So it had time to soak in , but ya had he done something , like even put saw dust on the stain last week or back when the original thread was started, he'd be better off , maybe .

The stain occurred when I was in Kansas for three months and didn't come to my attention till I got back from a month more in VT.
The stain was at least two months old when I found it.

Dump a load of Fullers Earth on it.

12-22-2012, 06:16 PM
Just throw the thing in the wood stove and start over..... It was a lumpy old chunk of Red Oak anyway..... With all that oil in it, it should really crank out some BTUs!

Happy Birthday to Scooter.:D
