I've seen this (or something very like it) before. That image of Western Australia is amazing.......

The local astronomy group in Melbourne had an observation night in, naturally, a dark place. Telescopes were provided and people were invited to bring their own. Afterwards there were complaints that "there was no lighting so attendees could see".
We have a good dark hilltop just a k away.

Outreaches are great, our local chapter of the RASC hosts several a year. I love attending just so I can get some eyepiece time on some of the big boy toys. ;)
