Well Tiffany has now enrolled in her course at Uni and will be starting in the next semester... shes changed tacks and is now doing a "Certificate 3 in Marine Tourism" at Fremantle Maritime Training Centre {Cert 3 is just below Dip which she will have to go to Notre Dame Uni to complete} she has also been selected for a training camp in Perth with several Australian Olympians and selectors will be in attendance there is also a camp for womens soccer in early July that shes been put forward to attend...

She has decided... that the trip is off at this stage as she needs a car to get to Uni and the sporting things more than she needs to travel outside of Aussie.

This has made her mother majorly happy as Jo is a bit of a worry wort with regard Tiff and what with Iraq and terrorists and this SARS thing to say she is happy Tiff changed her mind is an understatement...

For myself? Im p*****d off!! seriously  ... Id never been outside this country and was looking forward to it  ...but I guess Ive enough to keep me busy around here what with my own study just arcing up {Dip Public Relations Publicity and Promotions} and physio getting more intense as my fitness level increases and also hopes of getting into the Real Estate Institute of West Aus to become a real estate salesperson which is something Ive always wanted to do...

Sadly I think the trip will remain of the cards for at least a year if not indefinatly unless Tiffany changes her mind which if she buys the car shes planning on wont happen.

So on behalf of Tiffany and myself... Id like to say a very warm and appreciative thank you to all who sent information by snail mail to those who offered accomadation sight seeing tours and barbies get togethers and to Jeff who had planned a major excursion accross the USA mostly for our benifit... and to all who have offered their support and hand of friendship in what for me at least was to be the trip of a lifetime... THANK YOU!

Hopefully another time in the not too distant future it will occur and next time I will just post our arrival day and time!

Shane

That particular trip is off but someday you and Jo will have the time and you'll say to yourselves "selves we want to see North America and all those wooden boat types we've been talking to"

And then you'll say "hmm the kids are old enough and we could go for a couple of months"

And then we'll all say "the mad Dingo tour is back on and we will look forward to see you."

All the best,

Howard

Shane,
I've been catching glimpses of your trip plans. I had this thought in mind that we'd share a sail on the bay, I'm hoping there will be another day.

Sorry to hear this, Shane. The welcome mat will remain out for you indefinitely. Good luck to Tiff in her sports and education ambitions - you too! Get strong again. I'll send pics of a particular pretty grey lady when I can.

Shane, we all know that is just a delay, not a cancellation. The welcome mat is out and we will keep the light on for you when you do make the trip.

Delays in plans happen all the time. Think of it as an excuse to plan a longer trip, with more stops.

SO........ What yer really saying is.... The BBQ Joe organised, and all the map questions that all sorts of people answered, and the gracious offerings of lodging, and free food and libation, and all the good advice about where to go, what to avoid, how to drive on the right side of the road, and offerings of advice on how to get from point "A" to point"B" with out using a map...... Were all for naught?
OK I SAY WE HAVE A FRIGGIN' BBQ AND NOT INVITE DINGO!
