I'm seriously teaching myself to sharpen chisels and plane blades.

I fired off the shop stove at 5:00 and have been flattening backs for an hour now. I've never really sat down and worked through this methodically before.

You?

I've got some shop time scheduled, today...a bunch of half-blind dovetails and some drawer bottoms. But first I have to order snow tires, and finish a little video (the short, happy life of a tube-dwelling Stichotricha secunda...riveting stuff!)

Moving lumber. Building a wall, and maybe two doors. If I can keep this project on track, I can get the goats moved into the new barn, and then the old barn will eventually become my shop. I'll be able to move out of my 8x8 shop into a 12x20 shop. The 8x8 shop is in the house, and will become a root cellar/pantry.

:)

Now I'm gonna replace some broken greenhouse glass with high strength plexi. Then gonna work out a bit and go to work at 3:00. After work I'm going down to Renee with 5 gallons of NYS gasoline and 5 gallons of NYS Deisel so Renee can move around. NJ still has a major gas shortage where she is.

Gonna finish up some detailing of a W-Band Radar system and then order parts to mount a Ka-Band Cassegrain Antenna. Perhaps I'll even start work to detail a multi-band/multi-frequency system.

Having a separate shop from the house is important for sanity and marital harmony. Good luck getting into yours soon.

I like my bigger shop but 12 x 20 sure sounds lovely to heat. . .

Poll watching 2.5 hours. Go to rental and pick up partial rent check. Go to bank and deposit. Get small-ish tarp at Ocean State Job Lot, pick up eel grass at Quissett Harbor. Spread eel grass over mulch on veggie garden and stake tarp over all of that. Go to town election party at Liam's around 8:30.

Tomorrow, pay bills.

Oh yes. And vote.

Would be a great idea except for the DEP agents and Dept of Homeland Security motoring the NY aqueduct right next to the house. Oh and the US army helicopters that fly over to get to West Point. Other than that yea it could be a cash crop lol :)

Typical day, Get the kids to school, early mass, work on stuff in the office (obviously not doing that so well), pick up kids, feed them. For tonight: be a couch potato in front of the tv watching election results. Will get to hear my kids will refer to their looser dad several times duing the night as I do so. Great fun.
BTW, I will mainly watch, Fox and ABC, the two networks which far away have the best analysts and reporters. In the off-chance Romney looks to be winning, I will surf over the MSNBC a few times to watch them squirm.

Voted by mail already. Office work this morning. Errands on the way to the shop after lunch. I'll likely be at the shop late. Then, very late, rumor is I'm picking up my eldest son at the airport... permanently home from the Navy at long last!

Rest easy if you can, Bob!
My brother has had five of those things and says there is nothing to it, if that's any reassurance:)
Best wishes!

Aw hell Paul, it beat a swift kick to Le Gronicles, which, I understand will be shaved pre-proceedure:p That is the worst part, some gal with a straight razor foolin around down there and all the parts doin their best to hide, and you are prayin she don't mistake somethin for a bump and whack it off. Course after it is over half of that area will be purple for quite a while. Kinda alarming lookin like a panda or something.
