planned for over a year, by Tommy Robbins of Bolivia N.C. and Alex Slaunwhite of

Me, Oyster, and Dave Carnell... The only NC natives in the WBF that I'm aware of. Sure there's more, I just haven't yet had the pleasure.

Some of my west coast relatives and quite a few of my Pittsburgh co-workers think our only claim to fame is tobacco and Richard Petty. If they only knew about the Simmons!

Dave, three years I searched for data on the Pacific City Dory my uncle built years ago. During my search I found your site and the Simmons Sea Skiff... right then and there the Simmons became second on my list (the dory remains #1 for sentimental reasons... the Simmons whips the dory's butt for looks), and would immediately become #1 if my efforts to collect specs on the dory were unsucessful.

Many thanks to you, Dave, for your efforts to preserve this NC legacy. I still hope, one day, a Simmons will occupy a spot right next to my dory.

Phil

We have Andrew, Paul, Bill Leggett and Paul F that used to post. Don't know what happened to them. I do know Andrew is in the ranks and banks of the downeast country now, being in the semi-retirement mode also. Paul use to share a lot of post here along with Leggett. Nora Lee was living in the northern area of the state, but must have gone back north for a bit.

Hey Phillip, what happened to the pilot of the plane this morning from Charlotte to BWI? Seems to me he may have been a sleep at the helm.
