In 1964 I had some private recordings made of a band I was in at a convention. Three years ago we had a clean-out and accidentally these recordings went into a Savation Army charity collection.
This tuesday I went into a charity shop to buy an old lamp. I NEVER look at old lp's but I did this time and lo, there they were, all 5 with my handwritten notes on the sleeves. Slightly grotty but they play fine, we weren't too bad at all!
