Decidedly mediocre (a below-grade basement with most of the vents obstructed). I think of it as the rat's-eye view.

While there's currently no water view, The Weather Channel has assured me that that will change in the next 48 hours.
I'm on top of a mountain in Wardsboro, VT and can see four ranges on a clear day. Since there's only three clear days a year here, I've only been able to see three.

Yer sure that's not West Wardsboro?

That's a hop and a jump from my old stomping grounds, and right near Carter's and My sisters'es places..... (They both live in the same town).... When you go to Brattleboro, go to Sam's Dept. store. It's an excellent place. (Or it was a couple of years ago when I was there last....)

I did a deck job above Lake Cushman, out West, a few weeks back. This was a three minute walk up behind the place.

Nice view from up here same place,

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b299/PEG688/April212009.jpg

Mt. Baker was in view on clear days , and some of the Canadian Cascade range.

Small pod of killer whales wandered by one day , 4 or 5 IIRC,

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b299/PEG688/May3120101.jpg

Long way out , only got one shot of the fin.

It was colder than it looks here that day!

90% of the time I look out my office and see the top few floors of the Marriot across the street, the rest of the time I see something like the picture above, from a few weeks ago in Bucks County PA.

I just asked Carter to post the picture of the view from her sister's front porch..... You'll see the same view that Botebutt posted, but in reverse. (IE: where you see in Doug's picture is where the picture is viewing from, and the mountain that Doug's on will be the view. Stratton mountain will be to the far right in the picture..... If she can find it)

I do not have a shop to speak of but this work site you are on is impressive, Doug. Will this be a home/cottage for someone? I cannot really tell from the photo but it would appear as if the floor is getting built right over solid rock and big cut rocks are being used to level/support the perimetre. How are those posts secured to the blocks or are they?

The view up there must be grand, if perhaps too windy at the moment.I look forward to seeing the evolution of this platform. Work safe, Doug!!

Cheers!

Darn Doug, I was hoping you'd get more time off, after that long hitch you pulled in the mid-west. At least you got a nice view!

Here's my view...
