    How we got into Iraq

Mother Jones did a pretty comprehensive timeline of how we got into Iraq. Excellent reading and a good trip down memory lane.

Mushroom clouds, duct tape, Judy Miller, Curveball. Recalling how Americans were sold a bogus case for invasion.

2/3 of America thought there was a connection, link, association between Saddam/Iraq and Al Qaeda/9-11. As a matter of pride and "supporting the troops" amnesia is preferred over reviewing the historical record. As a civilization we choose a trillion dollar war over preparing our economy for a known eventuality of higher cost oil. We won't try using intelligence until we can't afford ignorance.

We fought iraq the first time because Bush41 was beholden to his oil buddies to protect their source of wealth. We fought Iraq the second time because Bush43 had to show up Pappy, and as a diversion from his miserable failure to protect us from 9/11. Bah.

Safari doesn't like all sorts of things. I would have to say that aspect of my iPad is distinctly underwhelming. That and @@@@ing iTunes.
