Are they Australian "Ultimate 18's"?

It only looks nice because all the deadly blue octopi, crocodiles, sharks, and water snakes have been photo-shopped out of the picture..... Why do you think the Australians started that whole ridiculous amount of sail on the smallest boat possible thing?..... To get from point "A" to point "B", without being eaten is why!

And I always thought they put up all that canvas to see how far they could push the envelope, or perhaps they got word out on the water that the Y Club was running out of beer and they needed to make haste to get back to the dock.

However, moving quickly to escape all the creepy killer critters works just as well. :-)

We've got a lot to thank the Bethwaites for.

Just went on the Toreson Marine site and see that they are a Laser craft.

On closer inspection I can see the evolution from the Laser II of which I had one back in the late 70's

Loved that boat, loved it for it's turn of speed, and its ability to accelerate. Still sorry I sold it.

So where is it?. Our accounts person just lit out yesterday for Port Douglas and all sorts of idyllic looking water/ reef etc.
Of course back here sitting in gales and rain we're looking for nasty things to say , like crocs, other things with teeth, box jellyfish , and ooo it'll be hot... too hot.

don't mind us though ,we ain't jealous , not one little bit.
