It's been more than 75 days without any appreciable rain in Seattle but tomorrow it is predicted to return. I'm going down to the boat to spread towels down below and pin plastic cups to the likely spots in the overhead. The deck planks are so dry I'm expecting it to rain inside almost as much as outside for a few days.

It was nice while it lasted.

It was pretty great, one of the better late summers in a while.

"Among the most enduring things about an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing."

Are you referring to the diesel smell?

Jeeze... and here I thought you guys lived in the middle of a rain forest.

By the way... when Rainier blows where do you plan to relocate? :D

Still raining here, hasn't really stopped for more than a couple of days at a time. Cold too and snowing to low levels. That's spring in Victoria. Wettest month still to come,(gloom).

It's about time. Real Seattleites miss rain...it is not the same place without rain...actually it rains less here than on the East coast. We do however, get a few amount of gray days. Just think of as a cozy blanket for the cooler months.

I had a friend from Seattle who moved to Aus for the sunshine. Moved to Melbourne, reckoned the weather was the same:d

I'm so glad that it held off until I finished building Meerkat.

It will be nice to have it back: the moss on my back is drying out.

The only thing I had about the return of the rain is that 75 days of car droppings are on the roadway. Just add water and it's like an eel for a day or so.

Weather here was about the same as Seattle. Driest August & September on record. Still good, rain forcast for next three days.
We get our 62" of rain per year, sometimes all at once, sometimes spread out, but we do get it.

It never really stops here. It only pauses to reload.

You know, I've never been sure if that is pronounced, "ray-near" or "rainy-er".

Well, this good weather has partially helped mitigate the absolutely cold and wet June-uary we had.

Thanks alot though- during June, the days were getting longer. Now they have been getting shorter.

I was out and about and it was raining. And streets were slick. Feels good to have the familiar weather back

I'll be driving in it tomorrow, probably on a slurry of water, oil and dust. Hate that first day of driving when the rain comes back, but hasn't had a chance to wash the roads clean.

I lent my daughter the car last night. So it's motorcycles for me for a bit. This morning I took the sidecar rig just because of how I knew the roads would be today.
