Are you sure? Do you think he is there to entertain you?
He is where he is because he is very smart and knows how to control his mouth.

I've worked for a congressional campaign and I can assure you that these creatures are an unfortunate part of any political campaign.

did you listen to it?

I'm on dial up,and downloading anything takes LOT of time I don't have.
But I have seen Axelrod any number of times on TV and see him as a first class representative of his cause because he is always in control of his mouth. Election politics is a dicey passtime where an advantage can disappear with a missplaced word.

I heard the interview. Axelrod supported the president.

He said Romney misrepresented his positions in the debate.

What else did you expect him to say?

I don't think the OP was paying attention. Within the first minute Axelrod answered the very serious question about why Obama seemed to have done so poorly in the debate. His answer was exactly what I offered my yf when she asked me that same question: He was shocked at the audacity of Romney's prevarications, of his walking back all the right-wing talking points he had been spouting throughout the campaign.

I expect one of Paul Ryan's toughest tasks tonight will be explaining how his boss managed to morph from a right-wing zealot into the moderate Republican he posed as while governor of Massachusetts.
