Hey Folks!
The wife and I will be visiting New Hampshire next month (June 28-July 8). I wanted to see if anyone could recommend some wooden boat attractions in the central and southern parts of NH and Maine. We'd like to catch a ride/tour for 2-4 hours on a sailboat if possible.

Any "tourist infomation" would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

And of course Our Lady of St Phoenix is only a bit to the south.

In Maine there's tons of stuff, of course about all that comes to mind right now is Rick Prose in E Boothbay.

There's a great museum in Bath. If you get really up (down) the coast, there is the Owl's head museum (not really boat related, but it's pretty neat.

Have fun!

Paul Rollins in York ME (about 10 miles east) is always working on interesting wooden craft. Dick Newick, the catamaran guy, lives in Kittery Point ME. Patten's Boat Yard in Eliot ME (where I keep my boat off-season) is building a small cutter. Otherwise not a lot of wooden boat building in the immediate area.

If you are a classic wooden motorboat fan, Lake Winnepesaukee is Mecca.

If you come to Porrtsmouth, give me a call at 603-436-6218. I might be able to oblige you & your wife with a short sail provided the timing work out.
